Christian’s biography in his words:
I am a professor of philosophy at John F. Kennedy University, where I teach Philosophy and Consciousness Studies, and founder of The Visionary Edge—an arts and media network and production company.
I am an international speaker on consciousness, cosmology, and spirituality at conferences and workshops in the United States and Europe. Formerly, I was managing editor at the Institute of Noetic Sciences.
My books include the award-winning Radical Nature: Rediscovering the Soul of Matter, the bestselling e-novel Deep Spirit: Lessons from the Noetic Code , and, with Willis Harman, The Scientific Exploration of Consciousness.
My new book, Radical Knowing: Understanding Consciousness through Relationship is now available.
My work on consciousness has appeared in both popular and academic journals, including Journal of Consciousness Studies, Journal of Transpersonal Psychology, Cerebrum, ReVision, Network, Noetic Sciences Review, Shift, Quest, Connections, Advances in Mind-Body Medicine and Somatics.
I am also adjunct faculty with Union Institute & University, and the Arthur Young Professor of Philosophy at the University of Philosophical Research. I served as a member of the advisory committee for the University Arizona’s new Center for Consciousness Studies; on the program committee for the University of Arizona’s “Spirituality & Healing” conference; on the program committee for Dublin University’s conference on “Cognitive Science”; and was a keynote speaker at the “Consciousness and the Original Spirit of Science” conference, Olympia, Greece.
For more than 25 years, I have been exploring and writing about mind and cosmos, and guiding people through the mystery of consciousness. As a teacher and writer, I am dedicated to making difficult issues simple and clear — even for those with no background in this field. My main interest is to find common ground between various worldviews.
I hold a doctorate in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and masters degree in consciousness studies from JFK University.
Before moving into academia, I was a professional journalist for national newspapers including The Irish Times, London's Sunday Times, and the science journal Nature; and a marketing communications consultant for hi-tech companies.
